Norwood Piano Studio offers year-round private piano lessons and music theory instruction in Charlotte, NC, as well as summer theory/music history/composition sessions for students of all ages. The studio features three grand pianos, seating for small audiences and a waiting area for parents. A grand piano action model, a midi keyboard and a computer with music theory and notation software round out the studio.

Piano Competitions and Assessments: Students may choose to participate in local, district, state, regional, national and international piano competitions and assessments with teacher guidance and permission.
Composition Competitions: Students may choose to participate in local, district, state, national and international composition events with teacher guidance and permission.
Studio Master Classes: Older and more advanced students who are well prepared may have the opportunity to play for master teachers; younger students may observe.
Summer Theory/Music History/Composition Camps: Call me if you are interested.
Community Service: Students are encouraged to share their music in the community by performing in hospitals, retirement facilities, home tours, retail stores, etc.
Student Recitals: There is a spring recital for all students who would like to perform. There are additional recital opportunities throughout the year for advanced students.
Graduating Senior Recitals: Interested and prepared high school seniors may participate in the Graduating Senior Recital sponsored by Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum. With teacher guidance, a graduating senior may plan his/her own individual Senior Recital. The student is responsible for securing the venue, setting the date for dress rehearsal and recital, printing programs, sending invitations and planning a reception, if desired.
Students with Music Careers: Former students have received scholarships as music majors (piano and theory/composition) to several universities and conservatories and are now teachers, performers and composers.
